There isn’t a share button on your Facebook photo albums, so you can’t just share the entire album on a friend’s newsfeed with one click. That doesn’t mean you can’t share the album at all. First, under the album title, make sure the privacy settings allow friends to see the album.
To create a shared album:
- Tap in the top right of Facebook, then tap your name.
- Tap Photos.
- Tap Albums.
- Tap on the album you’ve created.
- Tap in the top right corner, then tap Edit.
- Tap Add Contributors, then tap Choose Friends to choose who you want to share the album with.
Go to your Page, and select the Photos app box. Select the album you want to share. Click the Share link below the images. If you share in a private message, the link to the photo or album will go to the recipient’s Messages section.

Tap Settings > [your name] > iCloud > Photos. Turn off Shared Albums. Tap OK. The albums and photos will automatically be added again when you turn this setting back on.

Please make sure you’ve turned on iCloud Shared Albums on iPhone: Go to the Settings app > [your name] > iCloud > Photos, then toggle on Shared Albums. You also need to make sure that iCloud Photos is enabled. Before getting photos and videos from shared albums on iPhone, you’ll need to accept the Shared Album invite.

Account Type. The ‘Add post to story’ button is only available for public accounts. If you are trying to share a post from a private account, you will not see the button in the sharing menu under the post. Check posts from other accounts, preferably from a celebrity, and see if you can view the resharing option.
If your personal Facebook settings are set to high privacy settings, your family and friends won’t be able to share that content; they can only read it. Facebook settings also include privacy sharing options, which are set when the post-originator first publishes the post.
